This cartoon rhetorically demonstrates the flaw in the technologically-based workings of both students and school systems. Because life today centers so much around the technology we utilize, it has become much easier to enhance or ruin lives at the click of a mouse. Showing the student who hacked the school grade system demonstrates how he helped himself with technology but hurt the school. He then looks at the computer to see that the school has used technology to hurt him.

I think it also uses that to poke fun at the supposedly tech savvy kids that can hack into things like the school system yet at the same time don't think to protect their own system. With technology reaching the point where "the click of a mouse" can do so much, kids our age tend to overlook the possible consequences of their actions because even if they don't know entirely whats going to happen they still jump head first into the shark pool.
