The ad is basically using pathos by grossing out the public and making a connection between soda and fat.

This is using a shocking image to try and be a sort of wake up slap to what people are doing to themselves. As for me it isn't very effective, since I at first mistook the soda bottle for vitamin water, (which confused me), and secondly I think gore looks cool and I wish my soda looked like that.

The general public however seems to have a much lower tolerance for seeing people's innards, so I would reckon this is pretty good at least for shock value. Although it has the possibility of causing resentment in it's more squeamish viewers.

The ad draws an association between soda and fat that is both shocking and disgusting to the public. This makes the image of soda seem repulsive and disassociates it from the usual desirable image of soda. It also shocks the viewer with the hyperbole of amount of fat a soda has and the amount of fattening it can cause.

I would have to say that personally this is an odd mix between pathos and ethos. I mean, do take into account that our nation is the "fattest" in the world and people do need to understand that they're impenetrable to being fat/obese/out of shape. Though, the pathos gives a strange combination of appeal to those who are obese to try and assist them in making better choices for their health, or it could just be for any person as a reminder that health matters and the occasional soda should remain occasional.

I don't hardly drink any to no soft drinks and even I'm disgusted. Dx
Well it does put it out there to stop drinking yourself silly, abusively gulping down the sugary beverage.

It attacks on appalling those through shock, and distaste then a probable sense of regret, mistake or guilt.

ugh this add works! That soda looks rediculously disgusting turning into fat as it's being poured into the glass. It really uses the pathos appeal because body weight is a personal risk factor in society and the author of this add really feels that soda plays a big role in weight gain and he's sharing that with the public..effectively.

Wow! Freaky! Here, The creator of the ad is showing what actually happens on the inside of our bodies when we drink too many sugary drinks, or consume junk foods in general. Through pathos, the ad hits home for most people because most people want to be healthy.
