Facebook!
What is the picture satirizing? What is the author's argument in the picture? Why is it that a man is running off with the people's faces? Explain how this relates to recent events and explain how the public reacted to this...
Recently facebook changed their terms of service agreement in that facebook would indeffinetly have any previous information and pictures on you no matter if you terminate your facebook membership. This small change in the service was picked up and put onto websites like Digg.com and since then facebook and swiftly changed their terms back to the old ones from before. The cartoon is obviously poking fun at how facebook basicly wants to steal our identities in a way.
facebook already steals our identities when we sign up. It sucks us in and envelops us into drama. When they changed the terms it outraged everyone because their information was out there even if they didnt want it to be! facebook is a way creepers and stalkers pray on people and "watch" them. if i canceled my account i wouldnt want anyone being able to still get a holod of my information!
facebook actually has a right to all of your information that you publish on it. they can reuse, publish, copy, and reproduce any photo you put on it. if you put it on they can use it. just a little fact i picked up from a defense attorney i was chatting with.
While facebook has your information, and in a way steals your identity, I don't fully agree with this cartoon. When you create your facebook account you give your email, your name, your picture, your hometown, birthday, and other facts that describe you, and the more you use your facebook account, the more you "become" just a facebook page. While facebook has your information, and can allow anyone anywhere to see who you are, and learn more about you, facebook has privacy settings that allows ONLY your friends to see your information, and you are in charge of who you're friends are so if someone got your information it's your fault for making them your friend.
