Now a day you can find war in the street, people fighting like animals, discussion... Guns; causing all types of problems and that is enough to know that the war is in any place. When you go out of the university to find a job, you have to be aggressive, determinate, have courage, but be a real person who has patience, because people fight for everything.
In todays life does it seem like being in the military is just another job? Is it really an easier and better path to join up than study up?

This cartoon is sad. I don't mean like pathetic, I mean like emotionally sad. But only because it speaks the truth: that it is easier to find a war these days than a job. People who perhaps would not think about entering the armed forces under other circumstances today enter the military without question because they believe it is the only opportunity they have. In today's society, we have accepted military service as a "job". I'm not saying that that's a bad thing and that it shouldn't be viewed as such, I'm just saying that I do think there are some sadnesses in that.
MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this comic is more commentary on the state of American affairs, that our economy is drooping and we continue to be entangled in a war, rather than a specific comparison of jobs. Generally speaking, a job with the military is seen as more dangerous and less desirable than a job obtained through education.
Getting rid of the draft meant that our government had to ensure a steady stream of enlistees some other way. So they added crazy awesome job benefits and education bonuses. "In today's economy" that is something that people really need, thus making it a very effective strategy.
Whether war is right or not is not the issue here. The issue is that the government is bribing us into the military, and it's working. I honestly don't really think that's a bad thing. The political system of today requires powerful nations to have powerful militaries.
