Untrusthworthy politics?

What type of rhetorical devices does this political cartoon demonstrate? How are McCain, Palin and Clinton being portrayed as?

This comic is directed away from favor of McCain. The author illustrates that Palin is incapable of being VP because she is totally unfamiliar with Washington and it's politics. It makes McCain out to be someone who just wants to get the votes but not win the election. ANd it makes CLinton look like clinton, need i say more on that subject?

This illustration shows how McCain has chosen a person with such inexperience as his V.P. It shows that McCain is in it for the publicity and he really doesn't mind if Obama wins. Which i find funny. Also It makes McCain seem arrogant maybe even cocky. Lastly the final add in of Clinton on the side asking if he could show her around just cinches the drawing and adds a little extra humor.

This comic strip says that Sarah Palin is not suitable for the Whtie House. It also argues that McCain isn't very great either, because he is being sarcastis and self-contradictory. The inclusion of Bill Clinton not only adds humor but helps to illustrate the sardonic nature of the cartoon.

This cartoon shows how McCain keeps criticizing and criticizing Obama about not having enough experience in politics and then he picks a less experienced VP. It shows Bill just being his normal self, just like with Monica.

This political cartoon further emphasizes McCain's critical personality by having him criticize Obama's "inability" and "inexperience" to be President and also even worse, Palin's inability and inexperience. Palin, who is seated between McCain and Clinton, has no say in this but is merely smiling at the audience, with no words of actual importance to say, whilst Clinton is subtlety hitting on Palin, as he did with Lewinsky. The artist's overly sarcastic viewpoint only furthers the humor in the drawing

The illustration demostrats how McCain has partnered up with Palin and how they both are un fit for the White House. McCain thinks of himself as being in it to win the votes.. who cares how..the election goes.. And ole' Clinton.. Well lets just say that the tour he offered would definatly be turned down by me!! Great sense of humor that was added by using him.

i agree. it totally is about Palin and how she is clueless to what goes on around her. It seems like the illistrator is in favor of obama since it clearly bashes mcCain for picking an unfit V.P for the job.

This really portrays McCain and palin how they've been being portrayed in the media lately--ignorant. It really shows the true audacity of McCain and how he lets Mrs.Palin slip because inevitably she has been getting almost as much or maybe even more publicity than he is. The weekly SNL's don't help either of their case's either. The addition of Clinton on the side really shows how America never forgets the scandals and how this maybe just another fun thing to add to the record book.

Very favorable of Obama.

This is kind of an inductive reasoning example: The message portrayed by the artist is that McCain's decisions really don't make sense therefore it doesn't make sense for the public to support him and his political insights.

It gives the reader reason to believe that the Republican Party is unprepared for the election.

The reason Clinton is in the cartoon is to infasize the idea that Palin is new to Washington because by him offering to give her the tour it shows that she does not know who he is and that she needs help because she is from Alaska. By McCain picking Palin, he only wants the votes and doesn't care for her experiance and whether she knows anything about the Federal Government.

this cartoon is using humor to get the point across. this cartoon is showing th McCain only picked Palin to appeal to the women vote. to me it comes off as "so she doesnt have much experience.,,she will get Hillary's voters!"
